Senior Quality Engineer
Location: Hereford
Salary - £35,000 - £45,000

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Quality Engineer to join our established manufacturing team. In this critical role, you will take the lead in ensuring that all products meet strict quality standards, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting a culture of excellence across the production process.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality management systems in line with industry standards.
Oversee root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and problem-solving activities.
Conduct internal and supplier audits; manage non-conformance reports and follow-ups.
Support new product introduction and process validation with robust quality planning.
Collaborate closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to promote best practices.
Monitor and report on key quality metrics, driving improvements where necessary.
Train and mentor junior team members on quality procedures and continuous improvement tools.

About You

Degree-qualified in engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
Proven track record in a senior quality role within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of quality standards (e.g. ISO 9001) and statistical process control tools.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Experience with audits, FMEA, PPAP, or similar quality planning methodologies is desirable.
