Are you an experienced Quality Engineer looking for a senior, hands-on role where you can lead quality improvements and drive operational excellence?
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Quality Engineer to join a global manufacturer at their Ipswich site. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership, lead a team of Technicians, and play a key role in maintaining high standards across manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead investigations into internal and customer issues, ensuring effective containment, root cause analysis and long-term corrective actions Drive structured problem-solving using tools such as 8D, CAPA and Root Cause Analysis Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, improve standards and minimise production disruption Develop and improve inspection, testing and quality control processes Monitor and analyse KPIs, including PPM, non-conformance and production performance Support New Product Introduction (NPI) Own and maintain the site's Integrated Management System (IMS) Lead preparation for ISO9001 audits and act as the main point of contact for external auditors Support compliance with ISO14001 and ISO45001 standards Ensure documentation, procedures and records remain accurate and up to date Lead and support the team, providing guidance and technical expertise
About You
Degree qualified in Engineering or equivalent industry experience Minimum five year's experience within a manufacturing quality environment Strong knowledge of ISO9001 systems (ISO14001 and ISO45001 advantageous) Experience leading structured problem-solving activities including 8D, CAPA and Root Cause Analysis Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T Hands-on approach with a passion for continuous improvement
