Job title: Senior Quality Engineer

Location: London (2 days per week onsite Mon & Thu)

Contract: 6 months with possible extension

Rate: £500 - £550 inside IR35

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases for functional, integration, system, regression, and end-to-end testing.
Validate merchant onboarding journeys, our Accept application flows, payment processing, settlements, and terminal management capabilities.
Execute testing across web, mobile (iOS & Android), API, and backend systems.
Prepare detailed test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test execution reports.
Perform API testing and integration testing across internal and third-party platforms.
Support SIT, UAT, FOV (First Occurrence Validation), production releases, and post-release verification activities.
Validate business-critical payment processing and settlement workflows.
Perform data validation, reconciliation, and operational testing to ensure end-to-end integrity.
Identify, log, track, and verify defects through to closure using Jira or equivalent tools.
Collaborate with developers and engineers to improve quality and test coverage throughout the software development lifecycle.
Support CI/CD pipelines and contribute to continuous testing practices.
Participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and post-release reviews.
Ensure adherence to our security, governance, risk, and compliance requirements.
Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.Skills & Technologies

Years of Quality Assurance / Testing experience.
Experience within Banking, Financial Services, Payments, or Merchant Acquiring domains.
Strong experience testing customer-facing mobile and web applications.
Experience with card payments, merchant onboarding, and acquiring platforms.
Experience supporting production releases, FOV testing, and incident investigations.
Exposure to third-party payment providers is advantageous.
Experience working within large-scale Agile delivery environments.
