Job Description - Senior Quantity Surveyor

Are you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor ready to take the lead on large-scale, complex project?

We’re looking for a driven and commercially skilled professional to take ownership of a high-value infrastructure project based on-site at Hinkley Point. In this pivotal role, you’ll apply your strategic thinking and commercial expertise to help steer one of the UK’s most excitinginfrastructure projects through to successful completion.

Hourly rate of £43 per hour

10–12-hour shift Monday to Thursday

Senior Quantity Surveyor

Job Description

Leading the end-to-end commercial management of a major infrastructure project
Delivering robust cost forecasting, budget control, and cash flow reporting
Acting as the commercial bridge between clients, contractors, legal, and internal stakeholders

Monitor and report on key commercial KPIs, preparing regular updates for senior management and project stakeholders

Navigating NEC contracts with confidence – handling variations, claims, and dispute resolution

Senior Quantity Surveyor

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

Extensive experience in commercial and project controls roles on complex, large-scale projects
In-depth knowledge of NEC3 contracts and solid understanding of contract law
Experience working for a Tier 1 or 2 contractor
High-level negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
Successful candidates will also be required to undertake the relevant CITB touch screen test

Ability to obtain BPSS Clearance essential

Company Benefits

Accommodation allowance- £38 per night, available year-round for those living more than one hour from site
Travel Support: Mileage reimbursed on the first and last day of each rotation (34p per mile for the first 10,000 miles, then 25p per mile thereafter)
25 days of paid holiday per year, plus all UK bank holidays
