Senior Quantity Surveyor

The Role:

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will:

• Lead and manage the commercial aspects of water infrastructure projects from inception to completion.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates, develop and manage project budgets, and track expenditure.
• Prepare and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Manage variations, claims, and final accounts.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant contractual obligations and industry standards within the water sector.
• Mentor and guide junior members of the quantity surveying team.
• Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and site teams.
• Contribute to a positive and efficient working environment.

What We're Looking For:

• A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying (e.g., BSc Quantity Surveying, MSc Quantity Surveying, or equivalent).
• Significant experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the water sector, including experience on projects such as water treatment works, wastewater treatment works, pipelines, and reservoirs.
• Excellent understanding of water industry regulations, best practices, and cost control methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to accurately forecast costs and manage budgets effectively.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Proactive and solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving.
