Senior Quantity Surveyor

Our client, a highly regarded multidisciplinary construction consultancy, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in either their Guildford or London office. The practice is known for its high-quality, partner-led approach and for building lasting relationships with clients across both the public and private sectors.

Senior Quantity Surveyor Job Overview

• Deliver cost consultancy services on a range of projects, including feasibility, cost planning, procurement and post-contract duties
• Manage projects through pre- and post-contract stages under a variety of procurement routes and contract types (primarily JCT)
• Produce tender documentation, manage contract administration, variations and valuations
• Attend site meetings, liaise with clients and contractors, and monitor financial performance
• Provide technical guidance and mentor junior members of the team
• Assist with business development and support the preparation of fee proposals

Senior Quantity Surveyor Job Requirements

• Proven experience in a consultancy-based Quantity Surveying role
• Strong technical knowledge of construction cost management and contract administration
• MRICS (Highly Advantageous)
• Excellent communication, negotiation and reporting skills
• Strong client-facing ability and commercial awareness
• Proficiency in relevant software packages (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, MS Office)
• Full UK driving licence
