The Role – Senior Quantity Surveyor
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll act as the commercial lead on a substantial new build scheme in South Wales. Working closely with project and operational teams, you’ll manage all financial, contractual and commercial aspects from early stages through delivery and completion.
You’ll report into a Commercial Manager but hold day-to-day responsibility for cost control, subcontract management, reporting, forecasting, valuations and commercial strategy on the project.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead the commercial function on a major new build project
* Prepare and manage monthly CVRs and financial forecasts
* Oversee procurement and subcontract packages
* Agree interim valuations and final accounts
* Maintain control over cost, variations and contractual documentation
* Work collaboratively with site and operational teams to support project delivery
* Ensure accurate reporting and strong commercial outcomes throughout the project lifecycle
About You
* 7+ years’ experience in Quantity Surveying (new build construction)
* Experience delivering projects £10m+ in value
* Background with a main contractor (essential)
* Strong commercial and contractual understanding
* HND/HNC/Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar
* Ability to commute across the South Wales region
* A proactive, solutions-driven mindset
* Desire to progress into more senior commercial roles
