Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for an exciting opportunity to join a leading civil engineering contractor? We're searching for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our clients dynamic team. Our clients company specializes in delivering high-quality projects in various sectors including highways, rail, water treatment, water retaining structures, and power generation plants fuelled by both traditional fossil fuels and renewable energy sources. Key Responsibilities:
Lead the quantity surveying efforts on a range of projects across multiple sectors including highways, rail, water treatment, water retaining structures, and power generation plants.
Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans.
Provide commercial advice and support to project teams to ensure projects are delivered within budget and to the highest standards.
Manage subcontractor accounts, including the measurement and valuation of work done.
Negotiate and agree on final accounts with clients and subcontractors.
Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and industry standards.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying within the civil engineering sector.
Experience working on projects related to highways, rail, water treatment, water retaining structures, and power generation plants is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of contract law and relevant industry standards.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in relevant quantity surveying software.
