Senior Quantity Surveyor – Civils / RC Frames / Structural Steel

Salary: £90,000 – £110,000 DOE

We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major long-term construction project in Vauxhall, London.

The successful candidate will have a strong commercial background within civils, reinforced concrete (RC) frames and structural steel packages, ideally gained on large-scale residential, commercial or mixed-use developments.

This is a senior commercial position with responsibility for managing key subcontract packages from procurement through to final account.

Key Responsibilities:

* Commercial management of civils, RC frame and structural steel packages

* Procurement and management of subcontractors

* Preparation and review of subcontract agreements

* Cost planning, forecasting and budget control

* Producing CVRs and regular commercial reports

* Managing valuations, variations and change control

* Reviewing subcontractor applications and issuing payment recommendations

* Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities

* Working closely with the Project Manager, site team and wider commercial team

* Managing contract correspondence and maintaining accurate commercial records

* Negotiating and agreeing subcontractor final accounts

* Ensuring the project remains commercially controlled throughout delivery

Requirements:

* Previous experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or experienced Project Quantity Surveyor

* Strong experience within civils, RC frames and/or structural steel

* Experience managing significant subcontract packages

* Good knowledge of construction contracts and commercial procedures

* Strong understanding of valuations, variations, procurement, cost reporting and final accounts

* Confident dealing directly with subcontractors and project teams

* Able to manage packages independently from pre-construction/procurement through to completion

* Relevant Quantity Surveying qualification preferred

Salary: £90,000 – £110,000 per annum DOE

This is a long-term permanent opportunity on a major project in Vauxhall with excellent scope for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for stability and progression
