They work on an interesting range of projects which includes projects both in the public and private sectors. Projects include hospitals, schools, universities, local authority leisure centres, offices, regeneration etc. They offer prospects to move up to Associate level for the right candidate. THE COMPANY My client is a long established busy firm of PQS with several offices. They have clients in both the public and private sectors. THE CANDIDATE You will be a Chartered Senior Quantity Surveyor who is currently working for a UK firm of PQS. My client would like someone who has around four years or more quantity surveying experience to join them at Senior level so you need to be MRICS qualified. You will also need to have a recognised UK qualification in Quantity Surveying i.e. BSc in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or similar. You should be able to run your own projects with minimal supervision. Ideally you will also be able to supervise less experienced QSs. You need to have experience of all pre and post contract work including cost planning, cost estimating, cost control, contract administration, procurement and tendering along with financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle. You should have used JCT contracts. You should have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken to deal with people at all levels.
