Job Description - Senior Quantity Surveyor - Major Infrastructure

We're recruiting an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading infrastructure contractor on a major station capacity upgrade in Central London.
The project involves complex underground construction, including new passenger tunnels, structural works and the delivery of critical infrastructure within a live operational transport environment. Working in a highly constrained urban setting, the scheme will improve passenger capacity, enhance accessibility and transform a key transport interchange for the future.

The Role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll take commercial responsibility for high-value work packages, supporting the project from procurement through to final account. Working closely with project managers, engineers and the wider commercial team, you'll help ensure successful project delivery through effective cost control, contract administration and commercial management.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the commercial delivery of high-value infrastructure work packages. Administer NEC contracts, including change management and Compensation Events. Prepare cost reports, forecasts and cash flow information. Manage subcontract procurement, valuations and final accounts. Support risk and opportunity management across the project. Assess commercial impacts of programme changes and value engineering proposals. Build strong working relationships with operational teams, clients and the supply chain. Ensure commercial processes and contractual obligations are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
About You
You'll ideally have:
Experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on major infrastructure, rail or civil engineering projects. Strong NEC3 or NEC4 contract experience. Main contractor or Joint Venture experience. Experience managing large-value work packages from procurement through to final account. Excellent commercial and contractual knowledge. Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline. RICS membership (or working towards) is advantageous.
