Senior Quantity Surveyor – Remediation Project (De Clad - Re Clad)
Location: East London Contract Type: Freelance or Permanent Salary: Salary or Day rate (negotiable)
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial delivery of a major remediation project involving the de-cladding and re-cladding of a social housing residential block in East London.
This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a high-profile project from Pre-Construction Services Agreement (PCSA) through to construction and final account, playing a key role in the successful delivery of a complex building safety and façade remediation scheme.
The Role
As the lead Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all commercial aspects of the project from the PCSA phase, working closely with the pre-construction, design and operational teams to ensure a successful transition to site and throughout delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading the commercial management of the project from PCSA through to completion.
* Managing all cost planning, procurement, valuations, variations and final accounts.
* Working collaboratively with the client, consultants, subcontractors and internal project teams during the PCSA stage.
* Developing procurement strategies and managing subcontract packages.
* Producing accurate cost reporting, forecasting and commercial performance updates.
* Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities.
* Supporting operational teams to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.
* Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
* Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor leading construction projects independently.
* Demonstrable experience managing projects through the PCSA stage and into construction.
* Strong knowledge of PCSA contracts and commercial management principles.
* Experience delivering façade, cladding, remediation, refurbishment or residential construction projects.
* Excellent contractual knowledge, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
* Strong financial reporting and cost control capabilities.
* A proactive approach with excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Relevant Quantity Surveying degree or equivalent qualification.
