Manages: Estimator / QS, Graduate Estimator / QS

About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive and commercially astute Senior QS/Estimator to join our client. This is a key position responsible for securing suitable projects through the preparation of competitive, compelling bids, while ensuring financial success across live projects via effective procurement, cost and commercial management.

You’ll lead a small team, take ownership of the full bid and pre-construction process, and play an integral role in delivering profitable, well-managed projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Gain a full understand of projects and client requirements for each opportunity.
• Lead bid preparation, involving relevant internal and external resources.
• Produce detailed cost estimates and supporting documentation.
• Chair and coordinate internal tender adjudications.
• Manage post-tender clarifications and negotiate contract terms.
• Create procurement schedules and manage procurement with the Contracts Manager.
• Oversee project variations and agreement of valuations and final accounts (upstream and downstream).
• Monitor and report on project revenue, cost, and margin performance.
• Provide leadership and development to Estimating / QS team members.
