Senior Refrigeration Engineer

Berry Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Senior Refrigeration Engineer on a full time permanent basis to support a client based in King's Lynn.

As our Senior Refrigeration Engineer, you'll be the go-to expert for all HVAC and refrigeration systems at our King's Lynn site. You will lead the on-site team, ensuring efficient completion of planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across a variety of equipment. Your responsibilities include meticulous record-keeping and close collaboration with the on-site facilities team and our Mechanical Service Manager to coordinate current and future projects.

As a Senior Refrigeration Engineer, your duties will include:

• Perform planned preventative maintenance on Refrigeration & HVAC equipment.
• Complete and submit all required paperwork promptly.
• Carry out service and repair work across the site.
• Organize the on-site team for efficient work completion.
• Liaise with facilities team regarding completed and upcoming work.
• Organise work and ensure service reports are submitted.

Essential skills and experience:

• Proven experience as a HVAC/refrigeration Engineer.
• C&G 2079 refrigeration handling certificate.
• Possess a full UK, valid driving license.

Working hours are: Monday to Friday 07:00 to 16:00

You will be required to be working on a call out rota which is 1 week every month, +£150 for the week, retainer + overtime at time and a half, paid door to door. There will also be occasional call out cover needed outside of rota for holidays etc.

Salary: £44,000- £48,400 (up to £50,350 with scheduled call out retainer)

Benefits include: Overtime at time and a half for call outs paid door to door, and a discretionary annual bonus.

You will receive a company van, 28 days holiday which includes bank holidays which can rise to 33 with time served additions, pension, health-care, dental and optical cover.
