Are you an experienced Senior Reporting Developer ? Do you have excellent SQL skills ? Would you like to learn Alteryx and Powerbi if you don't already have experience? If so I have a really interesting role with my global financial services client, based from their Edinburgh office however its hybrid working.
This is initially a 14 month Fixed Term Contract.
In this role you will be responsible for creating reports using mainly SQL Developer, Alteryx and some legacy Crystal Reports.
Main responsibilities: Creating and maintaining reports using SQL and Crystal Reports, as well as creating stored procedures, functions, and views.
Develop SQL queries to extract, manipulate and/or calculate information to fulfil data and reporting requirements.
Use of Alteryx to assist with creating and maintaining reports.
Work with report requesters to gather data and reporting requirements.
Ensuring all processes and procedures are followed and kept up to date.
Providing support for UAT of Systems Development.
Managing scheduling of new and existing reports.
To identify, evaluate and report risks to team manager.
Ad-hoc project work.
Essential skills: Advanced SQL skills.
(Oracle or SQL Server) An understanding of Alteryx or a desire to learn Experience with Power BI (advantageous) Ability to demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Capacity to work unsupervised and under tight deadlines.
Strong organisational skills.
Effective communication skills.
Ability to see tasks through to completion.
Strong ability to respond and investigate queries.
Numerate with competent system skills, including advanced knowledge of Excel.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail while handling significant volumes of data.
