Senior Reporting Accountant

I’m partnering with a global insurance company to hire a Senior Reporting Accountant on a permanent basis. The role covers both financial and regulatory reporting for UK and European entities. Experience with UK and US GAAP is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of financial, statutory, and regulatory reports under US GAAP, UK GAAP, and IFRS 17, including Solvency II submissions and key deliverables such as SFCR, RSR, and ORSA
• Oversee quarterly and annual financial planning, forecasting, and management accounts in collaboration with Capital, Actuarial, and Group Finance teams
• Manage external audits and ensure timely coordination of audit deliverables
• Monitor and report key risk and performance indicators to senior stakeholders
• Strengthen finance processes and controls in partnership with the Financial Controller, and contribute to finance transformation and systems initiatives

Experience

• Fully qualified accountant with experience in insurance
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting and/or auditing, ideally in the insurance industry
• Good experience in statutory and solvency reporting
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS and insurance accounting practices
• Proficient in financial management software
