Role Overview:

Kynetec is looking for an experienced leader to join our Animal Health and Pet Nutrition Customer Insights Team located in Leatherhead, UK. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and career development of our team of customer insight professionals. Your contributions will have a direct impact on our existing and new pet nutrition insights accounts, and will play a crucial role in facilitating our global nutrition account strategy.

Responsibilities of the Senior Research Director:

o Provide guidance, support and mentorship to our Research Teams, ensuring their professional growth and development.
o Effectively collaborate with our Senior Leaders across our Customer Insights Team in EU and Americas to push forward our Animal Health agenda.
o Contribute towards our Animal Health research department planning and strategy; This includes Customer Insights and Syndicated Research.
o Oversee and contribute towards proposal writing, demonstrating thought leadership.
o Support Research Directors with the complexities of some client queries, proposals, research designs and pricing within the Animal Health and Nutrition space.
o Champion Kynetec’s quality standards in relation to client reports, project execution, account management and presentations, whilst demonstrating our USP.
o Responsible for the pricing of strategic projects and the distribution of the department budget.
o Regularly support or participate in strategic pitches and client consultations at a leadership level, cross selling between Customer Insights / Survey based research and also syndicated data products
o Work together with our subscription data leads to develop innovative products, create exceptional client value and cross sell across departments.

Skills you will bring with you:

o 10+ years of experience working in Customer Insights Market Research, within a MR agency setting.
o 5+ years of experience working in People Management, managing teams 5 people +; This includes recruiting, onboarding, coaching, mentoring and inspiring up to Director level
o Has experience managing teams following a merger or acquisition
o Experience with driving business’s forward in a global setting
o In depth expertise in quantitative market research techniques.
o Demonstratable experience working in the Veterinary, Animal Health and/or Pet food industry.
o An understanding and experience of qualitative methods.
o The ability to motivate and inspire confidence, leading by example and aligning goals with professional aspirations of team members.
o Master of both written and verbal communication; Ability to convey goals, tasks and long term vision.
o A Team player who fosters and encourages collaboration, diversity and autonomy.

Additional Points:
o This role is Monday to Friday, preferable for successful candidate to be in our office in Leatherhead (UK) 2 days per week at a minimum.
o This role reports into our Head of Animal Health & Nutrition Customer Insights Europe.
o Some international travel may be required.
