Job Description - Senior Residential Support Worker


Job Title: Senior Residential Support Worker
Location: Billingham


Salary: £16.60 per hour (dependent on experience)
Working Hours: No less than 37 hours per week (overtime or additional contracted hours available)
Employment Type: Permanent
Sleep-ins: 9–11 per month (as required), paid at £58.40 per sleep


Example Annual Earnings: Up to approximately £38,970 per year (based on 37 hours per week and an average of 10 sleep-ins per month).

Qualifications Required




  • Level 4 Children, Young People and Families Practitioner or




  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare




Experience Required




  • Minimum of 1 year's experience working in a relevant children's residential setting.




The Home


This is a 3-bed children's home providing specialist support for children and young people with Learning Disabilities. The home offers a nurturing, structured and child-centred environment where young people are supported to develop independence, confidence and life skills.

❌ You do not hold a Full UK Driving Licence and have access to a vehicle.


❌ You only hold a Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification (this is not considered equivalent to the required Residential Childcare qualification).


❌ Your experience is limited to Healthcare, NHS, CQC services or Nursery settings.


❌ You require visa sponsorship.


❌ You have only worked within CQC services and have not worked in an Ofsted Registered Children's Home.
