Senior Risk Analyst - Nuclear | Shape major programmes and strengthen the future of UK nuclear energy.
Are you an experienced Risk Analyst looking to work on a major nuclear programme where your expertise will directly influence project performance and decision-making? This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly skilled team, providing risk insight, assurance and analysis across complex, high-profile projects.
You will act as a key risk management specialist, supporting programme teams, challenging uncertainty and ensuring high-quality risk information informs project schedules, costs and strategic decisions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead risk management activities across your nominated programme or area.
Maintain accurate Risk and Opportunity data within project risk systems.
Analyse risk data to identify trends, uncertainties and performance issues.
Challenge significant risks and opportunities that could impact programme objectives.
Support risk reviews, workshops and scenario planning sessions.
Ensure risk information effectively informs project schedules and cost estimates.
Produce and present insightful project controls information for programme reviews and boards.
Manage and verify Power BI risk dashboards and identify opportunities for improvement.
Support enhancements to risk processes, procedures, reporting and tools.
Deliver risk management and software training to project teams and colleagues.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Proven expert-level experience in risk management and project controls.
Experience working within a project management environment.
Experience within the nuclear or another highly regulated industry.
Strong understanding of risk management tools, techniques and methodologies.
Experience analysing risk data to provide meaningful project insight.
Degree or equivalent qualification in project management, project controls, engineering or a related discipline is desirable.
Industry-recognised risk or project controls qualifications are desirable.
Construction experience would be advantageous.
