Senior risk officer

Leading Global Trading Platform seeking a Senior Risk Officer to join their team, based initially in London with the view to moving to continental Europe within 12/18 months.

Key Responsibilities Embed the firm’s Enterprise-wide Risk and Resiliency Framework across EMEA & APAC • RCSAs, Group Risk Appetite , KRIs, deep-dive risk analysis • Change and Project Risk Management • Devise and circulate risk policies and procedures; develop risk management controls • Resilience analysis: BIAs, BCM Embed the Incident Management Process (Training and awareness, 2 LOD support during incidents Regulatory Response • Close involvement in responding to regulatory exams (eg DORA) where the subject matter impacts the Risk Function or otherwise requires the expertise or knowledge of the Risk Function • Lead the RTS7 risk assessment of the UK and EU MTFs • Attending meetings, calls and representing the firm opposite the AFM and ESMA on all matters from a Risk perspective.

• Ensuring (in close cooperation with the Dutch boards, and the legal and compliance teams) quality and validation of materials to be shared with the regulator or provided to the Dutch boards where relevant to Risk Corporate risk monitoring, reporting and governance • Monitor, manage and assess risks.

Create and present reporting for Local and Global Executive and Boards • Ensure alignment of risk processes with evolving EU regulations • Ensure governance is aligned to local regulatory requirements and seamlessly integrated into Enterprise Risk and Resilience Framework Work with the Global Risk Team on global projects Support the ongoing enhancement of the Global Enterprise Risk and Resilience Framework Skills/ Experience Required • 10 + years experience in Risk Management.

Capital Markets experience preferred • EU risk/regulatory experience including reporting • CSD/Trade Repository and/or Trading platform experience preferable • Experience of interacting with European regulators (ESMA and the AFM or AMF preferred) • Batchelor’s Degree or equivalent minimum • Strong analytical skills, detail orientated • Dutch, French, German language helpful, not essential.
