Our client has a long-standing presence in the music industry and is recognised for its eclectic artist roster and creative output. With a small, collaborative team, they continue to play a key role in their sector, offering a dynamic and supportive environment for employees.

They're now looking to hire a Senior Royalties Assistant to join the finance function and play a key role in the accurate and efficient management of royalties across their portfolios.

The Role

Working closely with the Head of Finance, you'll take ownership of royalty processing, statement preparation, and internal royalty reporting. You'll also be involved in reconciling income data, responding to royalty queries, and ensuring systems are up to date with the latest catalogue information.

The right candidate will bring strong Excel skills, an analytical mindset, and ideally some experience within the music or entertainment industries. Experience working with royalty software (especially Curve or similar) would be a strong advantage, though not essential.

This is a hybrid role, with 3 days a week expected in office.

Responsibilities

• Process and upload third-party revenue statements into the royalty platform
• Maintain metadata and ensure accurate setup of new catalogue items and contracts
• Investigate data inconsistencies and perform reconciliation tasks as needed
• Collaborate with the finance team to review and distribute artist and publishing statements
• Liaise with external partners and respond to royalty-related queries
• Support ongoing improvement of internal royalty reporting tools and processes
• Assist with analysis of income trends and commercial reporting for management
• Help ensure the royalty system is optimised and running effectively
• Contribute to wider finance operations when required

What We Need to See (Essential)

• 1-2+ years of experience in a royalty-focused role
• Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail

What We'd Like to See (Bonus)

• Experience working within a record label, music publisher, or entertainment business
• Familiarity with royalty software such as Curve

Package:

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000
Location: London
Working Pattern: Hybrid - 3 days in-office, 2 days working from home
Ideal Start: ASAP
