A leading insurer is looking for a Senior Schemes Underwriter to join its high-performing Schemes team, focusing on Commercial Property Owners and specialist sectors.

This is a commercially focused role combining underwriting expertise, broker relationship management, and portfolio strategy.

The Opportunity

You'll take ownership of complex underwriting decisions while playing a key role in driving profitable growth across a specialist schemes portfolio. Working closely with senior leadership, you'll help shape underwriting strategy and strengthen key broker partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

Underwrite complex risks and manage referrals across the schemes portfolio
Drive profitable growth through portfolio and underwriting strategy
Build and manage key broker relationships
Identify emerging risks and opportunities to maintain market position

Qualifications:

5+ years' underwriting experience within commercial lines (ideally property)
ACII qualified or working towards
Strong decision-making, influencing, and negotiation skills
Commercial mindset with ability to handle complex cases
