Fidelity’s core services include: • Access Control • Video Surveillance Systems • Audio/Video Entryphone • Intruder Alarms • IP-Based Systems • Fire Alarms • Smoke Vents • Emergency Lighting • Gate Automation • Door Automation Key Responsibilities • Carry out corrective maintenance, including fault finding, troubleshooting and achieving first-time fixes wherever possible • Complete remedial works and small installation tasks • Perform preventative maintenance across a range of systems • Liaise professionally with clients while on site • Work with monitored systems in coordination with our Alarm Receiving Centre • Represent Fidelity and the Ranger Group as a professional ambassador in the field • Complete all site and electronic documentation accurately and promptly • Demonstrate strong technical knowledge across all relevant disciplines • Participate in ongoing internal and external training covering technical, regulatory and health and safety requirements • Provide mentorship and support to junior engineers and apprentices • Take part in the out-of-hours on-call rota Key Skills & Experience • Strong industry knowledge across integrated Security and Life Safety Systems • Excellent understanding of electrical principles • Proven problem-solving and fault-finding ability • Solid knowledge of relevant regulations and standards Personal Attributes • Confident communicator with customers and colleagues • Multi-disciplined engineer with a proactive approach • Strong time-management and organisational skills • Comfortable working autonomously and supervising others • Motivated, reliable and able to use initiative • Competent with Microsoft Office and networked/IP-based systems Salary & Benefits • £42,000 – £46,000, depending on skills and experience • Company vehicle and fuel card • Participation in on-call rota (approx. 1 week in 6) • £385/week standby payment • £90 for travel to site and first hour on site • Standard overtime rate for subsequent hours • Paid overtime at 1.5x standard hourly rate • Company private health insurance scheme (employees and families) • Pension scheme • Company mobile, tablet and laptop • Full uniform including PPE • All specialist tools provided • 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays (plus chance to buy 5 extra) • Staff social events • Ongoing training and genuine progression opportunities • Field engineers work primarily within Greater London, with most sites inside the M25 As an equal opportunities’ employer, RangerFS is committed to the equal treatment of all current and prospective employees and does not condone discrimination on the basis of age, disability, sex, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, race or ethnicity, religion or belief, gender identity, or marriage and civil partnership.
