Lorien's retail client are seeking a talented Senior Project Manager to join their dynamic team and play a pivotal role in their Security Improvement Programme (SIP).

The Senior Project Manager Role

As the Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the planning, execution, and monitoring of crucial projects within the SIP. Your primary focus will be to ensure that all allocated projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, legal, compliance, and HR, to ensure seamless project delivery and alignment with the overall goals of the SIP.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets for the allocated projects
• Identify and manage risks and issues related to the projects, implementing effective mitigation strategies
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure technical quality and adherence to security standards, governance, and controls practices
• Lead planning workshops to provide detailed plans for the full project duration with milestones for reporting
• Manage project scope, ensuring it remains aligned with the SIP's strategic objectives

Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Administration
• Experience in project management within in the cyber security domain
• A project management certification, such as PMP or PRINCE2
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Experience in risk management, change management, and project budgeting
• Knowledge of security technologies and solutions
• Knowledge of DevOps methodologies and tools.
