Senior Service Designer - Local Authority

My Local Authority client in Greater London is looking to appoint a talented Senior Service Designer on a Contract basis.

The role will support service design project work through the entire design process, from user research to creating and testing new solutions using prototypes and supporting the strategic direction and delivery of services at scale.

About the role:

Based in London (Hybrid - 2-3 days on site):

Lead service design activity within cross-cutting digital transformation projects
Apply service design expertise across agile and multidisciplinary teams, working closely with developers, business analysts, user researchers, UX designers, and delivery managers
Use data and insight to inform design decisions, combining qualitative and quantitative evidence to identify needs, test solutions, and support continuous improvement.
Support the implementation of service improvements, working with operational, digital, and transformation teams to ensure solutions are embedded effectively and deliver intended outcomes.About you:
You will have the following experiences:

2-3+ years of Service Design experience, in a Public Sector environment (ideally Local Government)
Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills, across all levels of Local Government.
Significant experience delivering end-to-end service design within digital products or services
Strong experience applying service design methods across the full lifecycle, i.e. discovery, co-design, prototyping, implementation, and evaluationWhat's on offer:

Salary: £450-£600+ per day, inside IR35
Hybrid Working
Contract type: Contract
Hours: 09:00 -17:00 Monday to Friday
