We are currently recruiting for a Senior Shift Engineer to join a leading Facilities Management provider, supporting the operation and maintenance of a prestigious banking organisation in the heart of the City of London. Leading and supporting a team of engineers on shift Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across electrical systems Overseeing fault-finding, diagnostics, and repairs Maintaining LV electrical systems, switchgear, control panels, lighting, and power distribution Supporting HV operations and assisting with HV-related activities where required Working with generators, UPS systems, pumps, motors, and other critical building services Ensuring all works are completed in line with site procedures, health & safety requirements, and engineering best practice Coordinating contractors and specialist engineers when required Completing maintenance records, shift handovers, reports, and engineering documentation Supporting continuous improvement and engineering initiatives across the site Providing technical guidance and mentoring to engineers within the shift teamThe successful candidate will ideally have:
NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent electrical qualification 18th Edition Wiring Regulations HVAP qualification/authorisation would be highly advantageous Previous experience within commercial building services, critical environments, or a similar technically complex facility Experience leading, mentoring, or supporting engineering teams Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills Experience working with HV systems or a genuine desire to develop within HV operations Good knowledge of electrical distribution systems and critical infrastructure Strong communication, organisational, and leadership skills A proactive and professional approach to engineering and facilities managementIf you are an experienced Electrical Engineer with leadership experience who is looking to progress into a senior position and further develop your HV and critical-environment expertise, we would love to hear from you.
