A well-established and highly respected Welsh building and civil engineering contractor is looking to recruit an experienced Senior Site Manager to join their team. With a long-standing reputation across South Wales, the business delivers a diverse range of projects across commercial, education, housing, heritage, leisure and refurbishment, giving the successful candidate the opportunity to work across a varied project portfolio. The Senior Site Manager will take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of construction projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
What you'll be doing
* Managing the day-to-day delivery of construction projects from start through to completion
* Working to an established build programme and ensuring weekly targets are consistently achieved
* Coordinating labour, subcontractors, materials and site resources to maintain programme
* Ensuring all works comply with company health & safety procedures, Building Regulations and relevant legislation
* Maintaining high standards of quality and ensuring works are completed in accordance with specifications and best practice
* Carrying out quality inspections and ensuring defects are identified and rectified promptly
* Monitoring and controlling production costs
* Managing site activities to ensure efficient use of labour and resources
* Delivering toolbox talks and regular site briefings
What we're looking for
* Proven experience as a Site Manager / Senior Site Manager within the construction industry
* A proven track record delivering £3m+ construction projects
* Strong knowledge of construction methods, Building Regulations and relevant health & safety requirements
* Experience working to established build programmes and consistently achieving project targets
* Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
* Current SMSTS; NVQ Level 4/5 or BTEC in Construction Management, or equivalent industry experience; MS Project and Excel experience; First Aid qualification would be advantageous
* Full UK Driving Licence Only candidates based in UK and eligible to work in UK are allowed
