Senior Social Worker - Child Protection Team

Ackerman Pierce is currently supporting a leading local authority within Lewisham to recruit for a Senior Social Worker in the Child Protection Team. This will be on a permanent basis paying £48,618-£50,646 per annum.

Responsibilities include:

• Initial Assessments and Core Assessments
• LAC Reviews
• Giving Evidence
• Managing a varied caseload
• Court Reports
• Section 47's
• Caseloads on average between 15-20 children

Experience Required:

• The post holder must have a social work qualification and be registered with Social Work England
• Candidates will need to have an excellent knowledge of therapeutic approaches, relevant legislation, national policy and initiatives and experience working with Children and Families.
• You will also need to have the Eligibility to Work in the UK with previous experience within a Children's Safeguarding or Child Protection Team.
• Demonstrable post qualifying experience of at least two years of working with children and families or be able to demonstrate expertise at a senior level.

This role is subject to a DBS check
