Senior Software Engineer (Typescript, NodeJS, React, GCP & AWS)

Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 - Great Benefits package
Location: Cardiff - Hybrid - 10% (2 days onsite per month) / 90% remote
The Role
This is a great opportunity to join an amazing business at an exciting time in our development. The client specialises in creating innovative energy and utilities technology to support the construction industry in building zero carbon accommodation.
We're looking for someone who has strong skills as a full-stack engineer with TypeScript experience, a passion for infrastructure and a good understanding of data structures and processes. Our services are mainly hosted in Google Cloud with a small subset on AWS.
Essential Technical Skills

• Several years' experience as a Software Engineer or Developer
• Strong experience with TypeScript, NodeJS and IaC, building full stack applications
• A deep understanding of relational, non-relational data stores and the power of analytics
• Experience working with Google Cloud and/or AWS
• Experience using Cloud Run or ECS
• Knowledge of designing and implementing CI/CD
• Awareness of Agile principles and the benefits of differing methodologies
• Experience working in a DevOps or DevSecOps environment is also useful
• Experience in mentoring other Software Engineers would be helpful
• Experience in representing your team's work to stakeholders

Essential Experience:

• You will be responsible for the development and delivery of the code base across multiple applications.
• This role will see you supporting end-to-end technology solutions that enable the client to manage data and customer interactions.
• Your scope will cover the full stack and your responsibilities, outside of delivering clean, good quality and secure code, will include:
• Collaborating on the design of features to ensure we build the right solution
• Interpreting user stories and working with the team to turn these into deliverable tasks
• Adopting and driving CI/CD into our delivery cycles
• Writing unit, component, integration, and acceptance tests
• Supporting the Firmware and Data Engineers to build great integrated systems
• Gaining a deep understanding of the clients architecture and tool integration points
