Escape Recruitment is working with an organisation that supplies parts and components and is looking to appoint a Senior Sourcing Specialist.

The Senior Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for identifying and qualifying new Suppliers.

Responsibilities of the role will include:
Conducting comprehensive industry research to identify new suppliers
Making introductions with potential suppliers to understand their service offering, pricing and lead times
Negotiate and agree commercial terms with suppliers
Ensuring all data relating to products, pricing and lead times is updated on the ERP system
Identify supply options for customer requests and work with the Sales Team to source and plan quotation requests
Maintain the database for approved suppliers
Monitor Supplier Performance
Mentor and support team members

Experience and knowledge required for the role:
Experience working in a similar

sourcing/procurement

role with a bias on sourcing new suppliers
Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques
Understanding of how to evaluate different suppliers
Commercially minded and can negotiate effectively and maintain profitable supplier relationships
Experienced in collecting and analysing data
Experience with ERP/MRP systems and strong Excel skills
Build and maintain effective relationships with multiple suppliers
Experience in mentoring and training team members
