Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SQL Architect to lead the design, optimization, and implementation of complex database solutions that support our enterprise applications and analytics systems. You will play a critical role in defining data strategy, ensuring scalability, security, and performance of SQL-based systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, architect, and implement high-performance SQL Server/Oracle/PostgreSQL solutions.

Define data architecture standards and best practices for the organization.

Develop complex queries, stored procedures, triggers, and performance tuning strategies.

Lead the migration of legacy systems to modern data platforms (e.g., cloud-based SQL solutions).

Collaborate with DevOps, application developers, BI engineers, and data scientists.

Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and data integrity across platforms.

Perform database modeling, normalization, and capacity planning.

Establish data security policies, access controls, and compliance processes (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).

Mentor junior database developers and provide technical leadership on database solutions.

Work with stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into technical solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.

10+ years of experience in SQL development, data architecture, or database administration.

Expert knowledge of relational database systems like Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.

Strong experience with performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.

Experience designing large-scale, distributed data systems in hybrid or cloud environments (e.g., Azure SQL, AWS RDS).

Strong knowledge of ETL frameworks and integration tools (SSIS, Informatica, Azure Data Factory).

Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation in database deployments.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Cloud certification (Azure Data Engineer, AWS Certified Database Specialty, etc.).

Familiarity with NoSQL or NewSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra).

Experience with data governance, MDM, and metadata management tools.

Working knowledge of DevOps tools (Terraform, Git, Jenkins).
