Senior Strategic Buyer

A global technology product manufacturer require a Senior Buyer. A Strategic Senior Buyer role applicants need cost-saving experience, comfort supporting NPI activities and ability to produce strategies for assigned commodities.

The Senior Buyer will join a high-performing, positive and proactive procurement team. The Senior Buyer will be assigned a suite of electro-mechanical suppliers and will be responsible for developing commodity strategies and supporting project/NPI procurement tasks.

This is an exciting, broad procurement role encompassing; contracts, strategic supplier relationship management, and working closely with colleagues in Quality.

Specific duties of the Senior Buyer include:

• Supplier identification, selection, management, development/driving improved performance and supporting Quality with auditing
• Design and develop commodity strategies for electro-mechanical spend area
• Supporting NPI activities from a procurement perspective
• Negotiation and management of LTAs
• Support broader business procurement and commercial strategies

Senior Buyer applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Procurement experience in a strategic, product or category/commodity focused role
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of global supply chains for; mechanical, electro-mechanical and electronics
• Ability to support engineering colleagues with; NPI, supplier quality (NR), auditing and development tasks
• Ability to engender cost-savings
