Senior Structural Design

Job Description

Global E&C are looking for an experienced Senior Structural Designer for a full-time opportunity in Aberdeen.

This is a key role to ensure structural design activities are delivered in alignment with Global E&Cs integrated delivery model. You will provide solutions to design challenges, prepare engineering deliverables, and check other relevant design deliverables for assigned structural scopes of work.

Your regular duties will include:
Producing and checking structural deliverables in accordance with industry standards, codes and client specifications.
Preparing & checking materials take-offs and bill of materials.
Undertaking offshore surveys and create survey reports.
Providing technical input during detailed engineering of projects if requested.
Establish good working relationships and communication with designers, other discipline leads, department managers and clients.

To be successful in this role you will ideally be able to demonstrate:
Experience of Offshore Surveys.
Structural design checking experience.
Brownfield Integrity Repair Order experience.
Degree qualification in a relevant engineering subject.
Chartered, or working towards chartership, with a relevant institution (e.g., ICE, IStructE.)
Demonstrable competence in the use of AutoCAD 2D & 3D and ReCap software.
Demonstrable experience in originating and checking of relevant engineering design deliverables.
