Senior Structural Designer (Remote)

Senior Structural Designer | FEED | Offshore Energy | Norwich

I'm currently supporting a specialist offshore engineering organisation in their search for an experienced Senior Structural Designer to support the structural design delivery of a Minimum Facilities Jacket Platform FEED project based in Norwich.

This role will suit a senior structural design professional with a strong background in offshore structures, AVEVA E3D, structural steelwork and multidisciplinary engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain detailed 3D structural models using AVEVA E3D

Produce structural drawings including GA drawings, layouts, fabrication details, installation drawings and material take-offs

Model primary and secondary steelwork, supports, access platforms and associated structural interfaces

Translate engineering calculations, sketches and design intent into accurate, constructible models and drawings

Participate in multidisciplinary model reviews, identifying and resolving clashes and constructability issues

Coordinate with Structural, Piping, Mechanical, E&I and other engineering disciplines throughout the FEED phase

What We're Looking For:

Extensive experience as a Senior Structural Designer within offshore, Oil & Gas or energy projects

Advanced AVEVA E3D structural modelling experience

Strong understanding of structural steelwork, connections and fabrication practices

Experience producing fabrication-ready drawings and coordinated 3D structural models

Ability to interpret engineering calculations, specifications, sketches and design mark-ups

HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Structural, Mechanical or Civil Engineering, or significant relevant industry experience

Desirable:

Previous experience delivering offshore FEED and detailed design projects

Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks

Experience with Navisworks Manage and multidisciplinary model coordination

Experience taking structural designs from concept through to detailed design

Experience supporting fabrication, installation and construction teams

This is an excellent contract opportunity to play a key role in a significant offshore FEED project, working with a collaborative and experienced multidisciplinary engineering team
