Senior Structural Engineer

Our client, a growing and multi-disciplined Construction Consultancy, based in Monmouth, are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join them due to continued growth. Their work sectors include public sector projects, defence, security clearance and professional services. Projects range from small-scale refurbishments to large newbuild schemes and framework projects. The successful candidate will manage a small engineering team and contribute technically to a wide variety of commercial projects.

This role involves overseeing the structural design process, mentoring junior engineers, attending project meetings, and working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. Hybrid working is available, with up to 3 days per week working from home.

This particular client has experienced strong growth over the past 2 years and are on track to more than double their turnover from last year. This presents excellent opportunities for participation in key projects, and long-term career development.

• Working hours: Mon - Thurs: 8:30am - 5:00pm | Fri: 8:30am - 4:00pm

• Senior Structural Engineer (ideally IStructE or ICE)
• Experience managing or mentoring a team
• Strong technical background in structural engineering across commercial projects
• Ability to produce design calculations and oversee project delivery
• Proficient in relevant software (e.g., Tekla, Tedds, Revit, AutoCAD)
• Based within commuting distance of Monmouth
• Ideally a UK passport holder for security clearance reasons (not essential / can be discussed)
