Senior Supply Chain Planner will lead and optimize all procurement, supplier management, inventory strategies, and material flow operations across the business, within manufacturing. This role focuses on building strong supplier relationships, mitigating supply risks, ensuring timely material availability for manufacturing and overhaul activities, and balancing stock levels with working capital objectives.

Monday to Friday | Salary: Up to £60000

Key Responsibilities

Supplier & Procurement Leadership: Manage strategic sourcing, supplier selection, performance evaluations, and supplier development initiatives to ensure targets for quality, cost, and delivery are met.

Material Planning & Demand Strategy: Oversee demand planning, forecasting requirements, and material requirement plans (MRP) for raw materials, components, and consumables.

Inventory Management: Develop and execute inventory strategies that balance stock availability, reorder points, safety stock, and working capital objectives.

*

Risk Mitigation: Identify material shortages, capacity constraints, and supply chain risks, implementing proactive mitigation and recovery plans.

*

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Purchasing, Production, Engineering, and Stores to ensure smooth material flows and prevent production delays.

Performance & Continuous Improvement: Track key metrics including Supplier On-Time Delivery, stock turns, and inventory accuracy, championing Lean and continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain.

Skills & Experience

*

Essential: Proven experience in a Supply Chain Management or senior procurement role within an engineering, manufacturing, aerospace, or industrial environment.

*

Essential: Strong expertise in MRP/ERP systems, supplier contract negotiations, and inventory optimization strategies.

*

Essential: Excellent leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management abilities with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

*

Desirable: CIPS, APICS/CPIM, or equivalent supply chain qualifications.
