Senior Systems Control Engineer

Permanent Recruitment Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a growing engineering company for an experienced Senior Systems Control Engineer to join their expanding team in Llanidloes.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on exciting automation projects from initial build through to installation and final commissioning, with opportunities to travel across the UK and Europe.

£40,000-£60,000 per annum

Location: Llanidloes

Working Hours

Monday – Friday
7:30am – 4:30pm

Key Responsibilities

*

Build and install control panels and automation systems.

*

Develop and modify PLC, HMI and robotic programmes.

*

Carry out on-site installation, commissioning and factory acceptance testing (FAT).

*

Provide technical support to customers.

*

Train operators following equipment installation.

*

Mentor and support junior controls engineers.

*

Produce technical reports and project documentation.

*

Report project progress to senior management.

What We're Looking For

*

Experience with PLC control systems (Siemens experience desirable).

*

Knowledge of ABB robotic systems is advantageous.

*

Minimum of 3 years' experience in controls engineering, maintenance or automation projects.

*

Good understanding of electrical, mechanical and automation systems.

*

Full UK Driving Licence.

*

Willingness to travel across the UK and occasionally Europe.

*

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

*

Able to work independently and as part of a team.
