An innovative automotive technology company is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join its growing engineering team in Surrey.
The business is developing advanced technologies for the automotive sector, and this role will play an important part in the specification, development and verification of complex products across hardware and software.
The Role
You'll apply structured systems engineering methodologies throughout the product lifecycle, working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Key responsibilities:
Supporting stakeholder requirements analysis and system specification Developing and managing system, hardware and software requirements Managing requirements baselines, traceability and verification Supporting system architecture development and technical trade-off studies Applying ISO 26262 Functional Safety and ISO 21434 Cybersecurity Producing safety specifications, reports and technical documentation Supporting system verification, including test case definition and test result analysis Investigating non-conformances and supporting change management Working with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop robust technical solutions Supporting risk assessments and continuous improvement
About You
We're looking for a Systems Engineer with a relevant engineering degree and proven experience in Systems Engineering, ideally within a complex engineering environment.
Essential experience:
Systems Engineering and requirements management Systems architecture and technical trade-offs Functional Safety - ISO 26262 or equivalent Cybersecurity - ISO 21434 or equivalent Requirements traceability and verification System-level testing and verification Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teamsDesirable:
Automotive industry experience MATLAB / Simulink experience Experience working with complex hardware and software systems Only candidates based in UK and eligible to work in UK are allowed
