Senior Tax Manager

TPF Recruitment is excited to be representing a well-established and friendly independent firm of Chartered Accountants, based near East Grinstead, in their search for a talented Tax Manager, Senior Tax Manager, or Tax Director. The successful candidate will have the chance to take on a key leadership role, helping to build, oversee, and further develop the firm’s tax department. You will bring your expertise in personal tax and have the opportunity to work closely with a fantastic team. Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the firm’s tax department, focusing primarily on personal tax.
  
• Provide expert advice to clients on a wide range of tax matters, ensuring compliance and identifying tax planning opportunities.
  
• Build and nurture relationships with existing clients while assisting in growing the client base.
  
• Lead and mentor the tax team, ensuring ongoing development and high performance.
  
• Drive process improvements and efficiency within the department.
  
• Play a key role in shaping the future direction of the firm’s tax services, with a clear route for progression to partner level.
  

We’re looking for a driven and skilled tax adviser with:

• A CTA qualification (preferred), or ACA/ACCA with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in tax advisory roles
  
• Strong experience in personal tax, with a track record of delivering high-quality tax advice and client service.
  
• Previous experience in a tax management role (Tax Manager, Senior Tax Manager, or Tax Director level).
  
• A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent leadership skills.
  
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  
• Strong technical knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  
• A commitment to continuing professional development and a desire to contribute to the firm’s growth and success.
