Meraki Talent are working with a global banking client, based in Glasgow, who are looking to appoint a Senior Tax Manager for a newly created function.

This is a highly technical and strategic role, focused on managing the tax risks and services provided to clients, shaping tax strategy, and supporting commercial growth, all while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities will include;

• Lead tax change monitoring, assessment, and communication across UK and global markets
• Provide expert tax advice on complex client and product matters
• Act as point of escalation for internal teams and clients on tax-related issues
• Define and oversee the delivery of tax services to strategic clients
• Collaborate with legal, compliance, product and operations teams to align tax practices
• Represent the business in industry forums and engage in tax-related lobbying initiatives

Applicants should have gained an accountancy or tax qualification, and have worked within a tax advisory function. It is imperative that applicants can demonstrate a working knowledge of UK securities taxation, withholding tax and client structures. Additionally, applicants should be able to demonstrate a knowledge of investor tax regimes.
