Are you a Senior Team Manager with exceptional people leadership skills, who knows how to build, inspire and develop high-performing teams
Do you have a proven track record of leading large teams, coaching managers and supervisors, and confidently managing complex employee relations matters
We're partnering with an industry-leading business to recruit a Senior Team Manager to lead their well-established Technical Services function in Ipswich.
While the team provides technical expertise to the business, this is first and foremost a people leadership role. We're looking for an outstanding Senior Team Manager who can develop capability, create accountability, foster engagement and build a positive, high-performing culture. Technical experience can be learned; exceptional leadership cannot.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a business renowned for its outstanding culture, investment in its people, long-term career development and commitment to continuous improvement.
The Role
As Senior Team Manager, you'll lead a well-established Technical Services function, with responsibility for developing and supporting a large team of Managers, Supervisors and Coordinators.
Your primary focus will be creating an engaged, motivated and high-performing team, ensuring individuals are supported, challenged and empowered to succeed. You'll also play a key role in managing performance, coaching leaders and confidently handling complex people matters while ensuring operational excellence across the department.
You'll work collaboratively across the business, driving continuous improvement while creating an environment where people can perform at their very best.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the day-to-day operations of the Technical Services function.
Leading, coaching and developing Managers, Supervisors and Coordinators.
Creating a high-performing, collaborative and people-focused culture.
Managing performance, capability and employee engagement across the department.
Confidently managing complex employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance management.
Driving continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies.
Ensuring processes, standards and best practice are consistently achieved.
Championing professional development and succession planning throughout the department.
About You
We're looking for an accomplished leader with a genuine passion for developing people. You'll have a strong track record of leading sizeable teams and creating environments where individuals and teams thrive.
You don't need to be the technical expert in the room. Instead, you'll know how to get the very best from others by providing clear direction, coaching, support and accountability.
You'll bring:
Significant people management experience, including responsibility for leading Managers, Supervisors and other senior team members.
A proven track record of successfully managing complex employee relations cases, including performance, disciplinary, grievance and absence management.
A balanced leadership style — someone who is both supportive and approachable, while being confident making difficult decisions and maintaining appropriate management boundaries.
Experience developing high-performing teams through coaching, mentoring and performance management.
The ability to drive accountability, continuous improvement and operational excellence.
This business is recognised for investing in its people and creating an environment where employees feel supported, valued and able to build long-term careers.
You'll join an organisation that genuinely believes its people are its greatest asset, giving you the opportunity to make a lasting impact through your leadership while continuing to develop your own career within a supportive and forward-thinking business.
