Senior Technical Advisor - HVAC in Burnt Mills, Basildon (SS13), SS13 1QJ | EcoTherm Search Search Senior Technical Advisor - HVAC EcoTherm Burnt Mills, Basildon (SS13), SS13 1QJ Permanent Published: 4 weeks ago Competitive Salary Senior Technical Advisor - HVAC EcoTherm We’re looking for a motivated individual with solid experience in the HVAC industry and a basic understanding of building practices to join our Kingspan Technical Insulation team in Basildon, Essex. You’ll bring excellent customer service skills and a high level of attention to detail, ensuring every task is completed to the highest standard for all customers. As the Senior Technical Advisor you will be responsible for providing technical advice to customers, as well as to both internal and external Kingspan employees, working 39 hours per week Monday – Friday. Responsibilities of our Senior Technical Advisor Responds to all requests for technical advice received, via various media (telephone/ email). This includes providing in-depth knowledge on a selected product / range. Ensures best practice advice is given at all times, in line with industry and company guidelines. Produce heat transfer and associated calculations, for pipework and ductwork insulation according to industry standards. Providing a further understanding of the calculations standards and methods to customers Review product literature updates from the Marketing department. Attend industry events for Kingspan such as Working Group / trade shows / conferences. On occasions, attend customer meetings with Area Sales Managers / Business Development Managers. Is aware of, and pays attention to, Key Performance Indicators. Contribute to the development of technical solutions by sharing information and reporting issues to the Line Manager. Play a significant role in product testing, certifications and reviewing product literature. What we are looking for in our Senior Technical Advisor: You will have: Experience in the HVAC industry. Construction discipline, with a basic understanding of building practices. Excellent customer service skills, with an ability to set and adhere to customer service goals. IT proficient, with a technical bias. Excellent telephone manner. Excellent time management skills, being highly efficient and well organised. High attention to detail at all times. Demonstrates the ability to interpret and apply mathematical formulas relevant to HVAC industry calculations. Whilst not essential, the following would be of benefit: Hold a degree in physics, mechanical engineer, maths, engineering, or a similar subject. Understanding of building physics. Presentation skills.
