Senior Technical Architect - Manchester - £95,000 + bonus

The Company:
Lorien Global are working in partnership with a leading brand who have an ambitious roadmap and focus on modernisation, we're now on the lookout for a Senior Technical Architect to join their Manchester-based technology team.

The Role:
As a Senior Technical Architect, you'll play a vital role in shaping and delivering enterprise-wide architecture solutions. You'll be at the centre of strategic design conversations. Working with the wider leadership team across complex technical landscapes to help simplify, consolidate, and evolve the architecture that underpins the business.

This role is suited to someone who thrives in fast paced, regulated environments and enjoys collaborating closely with cross functional teams including Product Owners, Project Managers, and key stakeholders. You'll be expected to drive best practices, introduce scalable solutions, and provide technical direction across projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate complex business needs into practical, scalable technology solutions
• Assess the current tech landscape, identify duplication, and drive simplification
• Engage with stakeholders across the business to ensure solution alignment
• Design conceptual and detailed architecture across systems, tools, and platforms
• Create and maintain documentation including architecture diagrams and reusable artefacts
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend how they fit into future-state architecture
• Manage technical relationships with third party vendors
• Identify risks early and plan for performance, security, and scalability

The Skill Requirements:

• Extensive experience as a Technical Architect in a modern software environment
• Strong grasp of architectural patterns, cloud, APIs, microservices, and databases
• Confident in translating business requirements into robust technical solutions
• Strong problem-solver with a strategic mindset and keen attention to detail
• Wider knowledge of CI/CD and security frameworks in application architecture
• Excellent communication skills with comfort engaging across all levels of the business
