Your new company

Your new company is an independent Insurance & Reinsurance Lloyd's Broker located in the heart of the City of London. Their company centres around listening to clients' needs and providing them with tailored insurance solutions based on their expert knowledge. There is a focus on creating long-lasting relationships between their clients and their markets. Due to expansion within their Accident & Health, US Casualty team, a permanent position for a Senior Technician has arisen. This role is based in the office 5 days a week.

Your new role

Your new role as a Senior Technician will require you to support the business across all technical processes, working closely with the Technical Manager across multiple classes of business and territories. Duties will include processing and submitting all premiums and premium bordereaux, responding promptly to underwriters regarding outstanding premium payments and policy adjustments, accurately entering contract details into the accounting platform and maintaining up-to-date premium statistics for line slips and binders. Further duties will also include creating and regularly updating templates for accounting documents such as debit/credit notes and closing statements, as well as conducting routine reviews of key accounting reports - including unallocated cash, funding balances, unrealised brokerage, and aged debt.

What you'll need to succeed

Your previous experience as a Senior Technician working with the London Insurance Market will contribute to your success in securing this role. You will be an excellent communicator, be flexible and adaptable and have the appetite to succeed. You should possess strong Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office. You will also have knowledge of technical insurance processes and premium accounting experience. Ideally, you will have A&H or Casualty experience, but not essential.
