Oliver James is partnered with a scaling boutique consulting group to hire a Senior Manager to join their leadership team. The hire will specialise in cyber security, technology risk & operational resilience advice to the financial services sector.

The role will be largely remote (suiting a Northern base location) with ad-hoc travel for both internal and external (client-facing) purposes paying up to £100,000 basic salary plus extras / benefits.

Technology is at the heart of most modern organisations. Supporting Operational Risk teams and Technology Control teams with developing frameworks and managing their technology risks is a key and evolving area of focus.

As a Senior Manager, you will help Financial Services clients identify and manage their technology and operational risks whilst simultaneously developing commercial, consulting and technical skills.

To qualify for the role you must have?

• A demonstrable track record in UK financial services consulting experience.

• A clear understanding and track record in one or more of the following: technology risk, operational resilience, cyber security, change assurance.

• Experience in managing and delivering client engagements including scoping, financial management, managing delivery risk, production, quality and review of deliverables.

• Hands on approach to build and maintain excellent relationships across a range of FS clients and other stakeholders.

• Experience within the FS industry and a sound understanding of the FS technology landscape

Ideally, you'll also have

• Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and manage cross functional projects

• A passion for providing organisations the trust and confidence that will enable them to adopt emerging technologies, manage IT risks and accelerate performance

• An eagerness and track record in establishing and leading high-performing teams and supporting and coaching individual team members

• A track record in business development and solution development
• Relevant industry certification such as CRISC, CISA, CISSP, CISM, CGEIT, ITIL, PMP, or other specialised IT certifications
