Senior Technology Underwriter

A leading global Insurer with offices across the UK are looking to source an experienced Senior Technology Underwriter within their Existing Business Team. This role could develop into an Underwriting Manager role in the coming few years based on performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Working within the highly successful Technology Team working on mid market to mid corporate sized risks.
• Operate within your underwriting authority working closely with the Underwriting Manager & Sales Team to deliver exception service to customers and innovative underwriting solutions.
• Support less experienced colleagues to increase their knowledge and experience.
• Comfortable trading face to face with intermediaries or clients.
• Excellent market profile within the Technology Sector of Insurance.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

• Strong trading and relationship management experience.
• Strong knowledge of underwriting and insurance industry theories and practices.
• Demonstrated high level of technical expertise in Technology and associated areas.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills. Ability to effectively interact with internal and external business partners at all levels.
• Capacity to work independently.
• Strong ability to identify, analyse and solve problems as well as to learn rapidly, adapt quickly to change, and manage and prioritise multiple concurrent projects.
• Skilled in exercising independent judgment and making critical business decisions effectively.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite as well as other business-related software.
