Senior Town Planner Bedford

FutureGen Recruitment is delighted to be working with a
well -established planning consultancy seeking a Senior Town Planner to support
a growing portfolio of strategic residential schemes across Bedfordshire and
the wider Oxford–Cambridge Arc.

This consultancy is heavily involved in the promotion of
land through emerging Local Plans, advising clients on the technical and
political complexities of housing growth, infrastructure delivery and long -term
strategic development planning. Their client base includes national land
promoters, PLC housebuilders and private estates.

The Role

As Senior Town Planner, you will play a key role in leading
projects and acting as the day -to -day client advisor.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing
  planning applications from inception through to determination
  
• Drafting
  detailed Planning Statements and strategic planning advice notes
  
• Preparing
  Local Plan representations and growth submissions
  
• Advising
  on planning policy risk and site promotion strategy
  
• Representing
  clients at planning committee and stakeholder meetings
  
• Supporting
  appeal submissions where required
  
• Mentoring
  junior planners and supporting project delivery quality
  

This is a role offering strong autonomy, varied project work
and clear progression.

About You

• MRTPI
  qualified or close to achieving chartership
  
• Strong
  experience in residential development planning
  
• Local
  Plan and strategic land promotion experience advantageous
  
• Confident
  communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
  
• Commercially
  minded with strong project management capability
