Senior Town Planner Leeds

FutureGen Recruitment is delighted to be working with a
highly regarded Leeds -based planning consultancy seeking a Senior Town Planner
to join a growing team advising on residential -led regeneration and strategic
housing projects across West Yorkshire.

This consultancy is known for its pragmatic approach —
balancing planning policy, commercial viability and deliverability. Their
project portfolio includes large housing allocations, brownfield regeneration
sites, and mixed -use schemes supporting Leeds’ ongoing growth.

The Role

As a Senior Town Planner, you will take the lead on a number
of projects, acting as the key day -to -day planning advisor for clients.

Responsibilities will include:

• Managing
  planning applications through to determination
  
• Drafting
  detailed Planning Statements and strategy reports
  
• Negotiating
  directly with local authorities and consultees
  
• Representing
  clients at planning committee
  
• Supporting
  Local Plan representations and site promotions
  
• Assisting
  with appeal submissions where required
  
• Mentoring
  junior planners and supporting team development

while still having support from senior leadership.

About You

• MRTPI
  qualified or close to achieving chartership
  
• Strong
  experience delivering residential planning projects
  
• Confident
  report writing and stakeholder engagement skills
  
• Commercially
  minded and delivery -focused
  
• Experience
  in consultancy, local authority or developer -side environments
