We are delighted to be working with a successful global Insurer who are looking to add to their established Real Estate Underwriting Team in London.

They are looking for an experienced Real Estate Underwriter to join the regional trading team in the South based from London team as a Senior Underwriter.

As a Senior Underwriter you will be:

• Utilising your knowledge and experience to underwrite new business opportunities aswell as retain existing clients in line with company underwriting strategy
• Being the main point of contact for delegated authority cover holders with a solutions focussed approach to referrals
• Building and maintaining strong trading relationships with strategic partners to identify and convert opportunities
• Work closely with regional management to support the regional plan and have active involvement in creating and developing plans for the future
• Using your technical knowledge in the Real Estate Underwriting sector to enhance and develop the company proposition to market

As a Senior Underwriter you will have:

• Detailed knowledge of the Real Estate broker market
• Ability to negotiate and influence through effective trading skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to positively influence key stakeholders and promote the wider proposition
• Proactivity, innovation and drive; taking the lead & adapting to change positively with a can-do attitude
• Willingness to provide help, support & to work cooperatively with others
• Strong customer service skills, continuously and proactively looking to improve the quality of service provided to all customers
• Extensive experience in underwriting and trading complex real estate delegated authority
• Confident decision-making skills, bringing a strong and decisive approach to underwriting commercial risks

As a Senior Underwriter you will get:

• Salary circa £55,000
• 36.25 working hours per week with flexitime, (along with a range of flexible working options)
