Senior New Business Underwriter

We are delighted to be working with a long standing and highly successful MGA business who after significant growth are looking for a Senior New Business Underwriter for Property & Casualty Insurance business to cover the North region.

THE ROLE:

• To work closely with a panel of key broking partners on a range of new business presentations across a wide variety of trades.
• As Senior Underwriter you will work with the Underwriting Team to handle referrals and provide innovative insurance solutions to customers.
• Manage referrals into capacity provider where required to gain buy in to provide terms of risks which perhaps sit outside of general appetite.
• Work closely with the Distribution team to support the business in messaging clearly to the market around appetite and product suite.
• Work within extensive authority levels and maintain underwriting discipline to protect the company's profitable position

THE CANDIDATE:

• An experienced Senior Underwriter with a strong track record of new business delivery in Property & Casualty lines of business.
• Excellent relationship buildings skills and a friendly and approachable manner
• An ability to prioritise and ensure deadlines are met.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
• Strong problem solving ability with a solutions focused approach to Underwriting.

THE REWARD:
